Installing the Stackdriver Agent on Windows

Last Updated: Apr 21, 2015 01:59PM EDT
Currently, our Windows agent supports recording information about CPU Utilization, Memory Usage, Pagefile Usage and Volume Usage.  If you are running IIS or SQL server, metrics from those services should also be collected by default. The Windows agent runs as a service and should begin to provide metrics shortly after installation.

To install, download the .exe file from https://repo.stackdriver.com/windows/StackdriverInstaller-39.exe  and run it. You'll be prompted for an API key which you can create from https://app.stackdriver.com/settings/apikey/add  if you don't already have one set up. If you have a proxy in front, make sure you set the http_proxy environment variable [c:/> setx http_proxy <your proxy setting>]  before running the agent install.

To silently install the windows agent, please run: StackdriverInstaller.exe /S /APIKEY=MYAPIKEY
