You can configure an uptime check from https://app.stackdriver.com/endpoints for any webpage, instance, load balancer or group. You can also configure uptime monitoring from any Instance, Load Balancer or Group page. Once created, you can view the health of each endpoint from its respective page or use the check in an alerting policy. Currently, we offer checks from Virginia, Texas, Oregon, Amsterdam and Singapore. Uptime monitoring is available to trial and elite users.
From a group page, expanding an uptime check will display the health of all instances or load balancers. If the resource has a green dot next to it, at least ⅔ of the checks have succeeded. If not, a red dot will appear.
Clicking on the instance or load balancer will take you to its respective page where detailed information on all associated uptime checks resides. Expand each check to see health status along with response codes and latency from each region.
Once you have configured an uptime check, you will have the ability to use it in a health-based alerting policies. Simply create a new health policy and choose Alert when endpoint is unavailable. The alert will trigger once more than one of the regional checks fail.
